What a peculiar night I have had. First the good news: I located a seller on eBay who had 2 S-Chinese Stone Rains in hand (9th and Champs of K) and was selling them at resonable prices (fifty cents, and a dollar). Bagged both of those... down to 33 printings needed! ...
On a whim, I decided to take a blacklight to my Fourth Edition cards and see if, over the years, any alternate 4th had crept into my collection. I was delighted to find that, yes indeed, about a dozen A4E cards were in my 4E box. I separated those out and updated my inventory.
Wanna hear the funny part? One of the previously unknown A4E cards turned out to be a Stone Rain! I'm still grateful to the donor who sent me the A4E Stone Rain for the project, but I find it very ironic that I had one all along. No biggie though. I know another Stone Rain collector who would be delighted to have one.
Also, I'm pleased to say I heard from another "global set collector", although he doesn't do Stone Rains, his collection is much cuter and fuzzier than mine. This will be the subject of an interview hopefully posted next week in Lore & Trivia.
