Got my English Champs of Kamigawa foil today! Yay! English is done at this point. Cards in hand.
My scanner is still tucked away up in my attic. I need to dig that sucker out so I can scan all the cards that need scanning.
Work progresses on the blog-version of the SRP. I'm busting my ass to put together a much nicer looking gallery for cards that is completely javascript driven. That will make the amount of work I have to do to generate these pages significantly less. I'll simply upload the pix, change a key data file to indicate status of a card in the collection, and boom, whenever anybody hits the gallery javascript will autogenerate it from the latest information. This means I will never actually have to modify gallery pages just because the status of a card changed or I have a new scan to put up.
I think you'll like the new gallery layout... the cards images will free-float and take up as much space as you have available. No more being roped into 3 cards per line. If you have room for 5 cards on one line, the SRP will put 5 on a line. This should avoid the awkward gaps I had in my tables and peculiar orderings to keep things in line. Although it is possible that one row will not line up with the row above, it will still look okay. Trust me you'll like it when you see it.
I've already built all the javascript stuctures to hold the data, so now it is just a matter of writing the script to generate a gallery. That is going to be hard so I better get to work on it!
